When it comes to the portrayal of dogs and cats on TV, they are often depicted as ‘enemies’. However, a surprising friendship between a Husky from Texas and a tabby cat has formed. Christina always had the desire to raise both a dog and a cat together. To fulfill this wish, she brought her Tamaskan Husky named Raven along to choose a cat companion. Accompanied by their puppy, they visited a shelter to adopt a new kitty, leading to an interesting encounter.
Knowing that Raven’s compatibility with the chosen cat was essential, Christina took her to an animal shelter in Lubbock, Texas. Amongst the four cats there, only a delightful tabby named Woodhouse interacted with Raven. Christina shared, “I took the puppy to the shelter and showed her four kittens. These two instantly hit it off. Easy decision on my part. I’ve had cats all my life. Got to a point where I was able to get a puppy and kitten at the same time. My life goal is complete! The pup is Raven and the little hairball is Woodhouse. He thinks he’s people.”
Overjoyed, Christina acknowledged the instant connection between the pair. On that day, they all went home together, welcoming Woodhouse as the newest addition to their family. The two weeks since then have been filled with Raven nibbling on Woodhouse’s ears, her way of displaying affection. The kitten keeps coming back for more. Since their meeting, Raven and Woodhouse have become inseparable. They do everything together – cuddle, play, eat, and even share their food and toys. “They bring a lot of joy into my life. I just recently moved nine hours away from all my family, so having these two has definitely helped,” Christina expressed.
Despite Raven’s larger size, Woodhouse fearlessly chases her around the house. Since their introduction, they have become completely inseparable.
