The dog named Spiffles has had a turbulent life. It was abandoned in Puerto Rico, then attacked by other wild dogs until it lost its nose.
Spiffles also suffers from severe parasitic infections, including intestinal worms and whipworms. This is not to mention the deformed teeth, which make many people hesitant about adopting this dog.

However, an animal shelter brought the poor animal to Florida, where it found its first home. But shortly after, the dog left again.
Once again, its unusual appearance caught the eye of the Poodle & Pooch Rescue Center in Florida. This unit used to rescue 500 to 600 cats and dogs every year.
The rescue group brought Spiffles to the center on December 19, and on December 24, it appeared on WESH radio in Orlando, Florida. Since then, the dog’s fortunes have completely changed. The story of the dog not only touched the hearts of TV viewers but also spread strongly on social networks.

At least 100 people have called the Poodle & Pooch center wanting to adopt Spifflles. Although I know that caring for a dog is very difficult (including rising the breathing tube twice a day, applying eye drops twice a day, cleaning the wound and taking it to the vet to treat parasitic problems), but animal lovers everywhere are still ready to take on any job.
However, the center said they will treat and orthodontize the dog before finding a new home. Ms. Lynch of the center said: “Spiffles is a small but resilient dog. Despite his painful past, he is overcoming his destiny and gradually becoming healthier and happier every day.”
