A truly heart-rending moment when the dog bids farewell to its master.
There was an unforeseen response from medical professionals when 33-year-old Ryan Jessen died suddenly from a brain hemorrhage.
The hospital displayed tremendous kindness by allowing us to bring my brother’s dog in to “say goodbye,” so that she could understand why her human never returned. If you knew my brother, you’d know how much he adored his cute pet, Michelle, Ryan’s sister, wrote on Facebook.
The heartfelt moment between Ryan and his dog Molly was captured on camera, intended for their immediate family only.
“The stories of others, their sharing in our grief, and the kindness of so many people have deeply touched and humbled us,” Michelle adds.
Molly, Ryan’s grieving dog, is in safe hands with Ryan’s sister, who reassures her, “Don’t fret about the dog! She’s staying with us! She’s part of the family.” According to Michelle, a 17-year-old will receive Ryan’s donor heart just in time for Christmas.
