Living in Thailand, Messy and his human, Oranit Kittragul, share a neighborhood with Audi, a Husky who spends most of the day alone while his owner is at work. The feeling of being alone often brings Audi a mix of sadness and anxiety. To help alleviate Audi’s loneliness, Messy barks at him whenever he senses his friend feeling too isolated. Oranit mentions, “Whenever he feels lonely and cries, I always ask my dog to watch and talk to him. My dog looks from the fence and sometimes barks to Audi. I don’t know what they’re communicating, but it stops his crying.”
One day, Audi’s owner forgot to secure the gate while leaving for work, giving the Husky a chance to visit Messy for the first time. Oranit witnessed the heartwarming moment when the two dogs greeted and hugged each other. Capturing the adorable encounter, Oranit took a photo to share with others online. Even though it was their first face-to-face meeting, their bond seemed as strong as if they had been lifelong friends. Audi, being a good boy, knew he couldn’t stay out of his yard for too long. After exchanging greetings, he quickly ran back home. Reflecting on the encounter, Oranit said, “He ran to my dog, and they hugged each other. I snapped a photo of that tender moment.”
The sweet embrace between the two dogs was short-lived, as Audi was brought back home. However, this brief interaction revealed a deeper bond that Oranit hadn’t realized before, formed despite the physical distance separating them. Whenever Audi barks and cries, Messy responds with barks, helping Audi calm down and find comfort in the realization that he is not alone. Messy is a yellow lab, the good boy in the story, who lives in Thailand with his owner, Oranit Kittragul. Messy has been doing an exceptional job of comforting his friend, the Husky named Audi, who lives across the street and experiences feelings of sadness and seclusion when his owner is away at work.
Given the connection between these two canine companions, it is hoped that their owners will arrange regular meetups to allow them to socialize in person. In the meantime, it is heartening to know that Messy’s kindness toward Audi has already blossomed into a beautiful friendship.
