A few years ago, Lukasz Muniowski was riding a bike through the Polish countryside together with his wife Natalia, when something caught their attention. It was a cute little dog hiding in a ditch across the road.
They decided to stop, and soon realized that the dog was injured. “Her run… was very awkward,” Muniowski said. “Her back was in the air, the back legs were wobbly and didn’t touch the ground.”
The doggie ran into a ditch covered with stones. “When I was finally able to move the stone and put my hand slowly in there… she smelled it and then put her paws on my hand.”
They rushed the doggie to the vet, where they discovered that she was most likely hit by a car or caught by a hunting trap, and had been injured for 3-4 weeks already.
The couple decided to give a dog a chance at life and adopt her. They named her Bobby.
One of the doggie’s legs had to be amputated, but other than that, the dog lives a very happy life with her loving owners. She loves to run and play. Bobby even has a best buddy, another rescue dog named Leon that she loves to tease and boss around. But more than anything, Bobby loves spending time with her human mom and dad. “She’s very loving and kind,” says Muniowski.
