In Canada, there was a dog who endured a decade of being chained up and severely neglected by her owners. This poor dog not only suffered abuse, but also had to endure the harsh cold weather and went hungry. The neighbors, witnessing the dog’s mistreatment, became worried and decided to take action.
For 10 long years, the dog was chained up outside her home in British Columbia, and the neighbors couldn’t tolerate it any longer.
On a cold, dark, and snowy night, one of the concerned neighbors contacted the Animal Advocates Society of BC (AAS) to rescue the dog.
When the AAS arrived, they found the dog in a terrible condition. Covered in dirt, with thick fur, she was lying in freezing mud among her own feces. She had been living outside, deprived of warmth, blankets, bones, and toys. She often went without food and water, enduring the wind, rain, snow, and sleet.
As if that wasn’t enough, she was also subjected to abuse by her owners, who would urinate on her from the porch.
The neighbors claimed that they had repeatedly called the British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BC SPCA) over the course of a decade, but no one ever responded, as reported by Wide Open Pets.

Finally, when one of the neighbors reached out to AAS for help, assistance finally arrived.
The AAS promptly went to the dog’s location, documented her miserable condition, and rescued her from her cruel and abusive owners.
After being taken in by AAS, the dog was given the name Judith. Her previous owners had called her Judas. Judith was found emaciated, dehydrated, and her injured hips made walking almost impossible. Volunteers helped shave off her matted wet fur.
With the tangled fur gone, she could finally wag her tail once again.
Under AAS’s loving care, Judith thrived and enjoyed the attention she had never received before in her life.
Judith eventually found a loving home with a couple named Mike and Elisa. Thanks to a donated cart, she was able to move around on her own, despite her injured hips.
Her new owners took her on various adventures, including camping trips.
One of their destinations was a cottage where Judith had a great time chasing squirrels, thanks to her trusty wheels. In the lake, she didn’t even need the cart and enjoyed playing in the water.
Wherever Judith went, people were eager to hear her story, and she became the center of attention.
Under the immense love and care she received, Judith cherished her last 18 months filled with fun, warmth, and love.
Finally, she peacefully passed away after having memorable moments filled with joy, warmth, and love.
