When a man heard scared little barks coming from a place that he couldn’t exactly pinpoint, he knew he had to find out where the pup was hiding.
After following the little cries, the man was led to an abandoned well. After looking inside, he finally managed to find the scared dog.
Rescue Mission
The man immediately called a rescue group by the name of Animal Aid Unlimited, who swiftly made their way to the well.
Bringing the right gear, they tied a climbing rope around the waist of one of the rescuers, carefully lowering him down to the well.
At first, being so traumatized, the pup was extremely hesitant and scared of his rescuer.
He ran to the corner, not allowing the rescuer to touch him, and when he saw the rescuer approaching, the pup ran and hid in the cracks in the wall.
Thankfully, the rescuer was really determined to get the pup to safety, so he started talking to him in a calm and gentle voice, trying to gain his trust.
When the puppy came out of his hiding place, the rescuer managed to grab him and, with the help of his team, climbed up the wall.
Reunion
When they got to the top, the rescuer let the little pup go, but was extremely confused when he saw that he had run away as soon as his paws touched the ground.
However, when he noticed the real reason why he ran off, he completely understood.
On the other side of the field, the entire family of the pup was standing there, waiting to be reunited with their little pup.
It was one of the most heart-warming scenes ever!
The little pup simply couldn’t contain his excitement, jumping on his family members and showering them with hugs and kisses.
The rescuers just couldn’t believe what they were seeing.
This was one of those rescues which reminded them of how important and rewarding their job truly is.
As they watched the little family go their way, happily running along, they recalled all the other families they not only reunited, but also created when they helped pups find a forever home.
Importance Of Rescues
It is important to note the impact that animal shelters and rescues have on our furry friends.
According to research conducted by the ASPCA, approximately 4.1 million shelter animals are adopted each year – 2 million dogs and 2.1 million cats.
All of this is thanks to the efforts of the incredible and loving staff who dedicate and even risk their lives in order to make our four-legged friends live the happy lives they deserve!
Thank you, guys!
