When Crenshaw was just a small kitten, she found herself all alone in the world. She was sitting on a sidewalk in a rough neighborhood, next to a busy road, meowing for her mother. Two pedestrians happened to come across Crenshaw and immediately became concerned for her well-being. They searched for her mother or any other kittens but found none. Not knowing what to do, the women feared for the tiny stray’s safety.
Fortunately, Sharra Platt happened to drive by at that moment. She noticed the small kitten and the two anxious women on the sidewalk. Curiosity piqued, she pulled over to inquire about the situation. The women informed Platt that the kitten was all alone. Being experienced in rescuing animals in need, Platt quickly decided to take responsibility for the stray. She brought the kitten home with her, intending to hand her over to a rescue organization the following morning.
However, the next day, Platt began to contemplate whether the little kitten should stay with her and become a part of her family. After carefully introducing the kitten to her rescue dogs, she noticed the bond forming between them. Platt felt her dogs would be thrilled to have a little baby sister. To ensure the kitten’s well-being, she took her to the vet, who determined she was healthy. Platt ultimately decided to make Crenshaw a permanent member of her family.
She named the kitty Crenshaw, after the street where she was found, and allowed her to gradually adjust to her new canine siblings. Platt’s Pit Bull, Roxy, and Pomeranian, Kasey, instantly adored the little cat. Roxy, in particular, assumed a motherly role and lavished Crenshaw with affection and protection. The eight-year-old rescue pup bathed and cuddled the kitten, doing everything she could to keep her safe and content.
Crenshaw delightedly embraced her new mother and became deeply attached to the sweet pup. Platt remarked, “Crenshaw loves to climb up on Roxy and sleep on her… I think Roxy is her favorite!” Whenever possible, Crenshaw sought the company of her adoptive mommy and rarely left her side. She also reveled in the company of Kasey and Platt’s cat, Lucky. Crenshaw felt incredibly grateful to have such a loving family.
As Crenshaw received an abundance of love from Platt, her furry siblings, and her mommy Roxy, she quickly grew into a healthy and joyful cat. She cherishes every moment spent with her family and remains deeply devoted to Roxy. The love and care provided by Roxy when Crenshaw was a tiny, frightened orphan will forever hold a special place in her heart. Now, Crenshaw need never feel alone again. She has been blessed with an incredible family and a life filled with love and happiness.
